Mimaki JFX Series UV Flatbed Printers: What Sign Shops and Display Producers Need to Know
Mimaki JFX Series UV Flatbed Printers
The Mimaki JFX series represents Mimaki's UV flatbed printing platform, designed for direct printing onto rigid substrates. For sign shops and display producers, UV flatbed capability opens applications that are not possible with roll-to-roll systems.
UV Flatbed Advantages
UV flatbed printing eliminates the need for substrate pre-treatment in most applications. The UV-cured ink adheres directly to a wide range of materials including foam board, acrylic, aluminum composite, wood, glass, and ceramic tile.
The instant cure of UV inks means prints are immediately ready for handling and further processing. There is no drying time, and the prints are durable and scratch-resistant without lamination for many indoor applications.
JFX Series Models
The JFX series includes models ranging from the JFX200-2513 (approximately 98" x 51" print area) to larger configurations. White ink capability is available on most models, enabling printing on dark and transparent substrates.
Application Expansion
For shops currently limited to flexible media, adding UV flatbed capability enables:
- Rigid POP displays and retail fixtures
- Architectural panels and wall graphics
- Backlit displays with white ink
- Specialty applications on non-traditional substrates
Amcad & Graphics provides Mimaki JFX systems with full installation, training, and service support in the DFW area and nationwide.
