Retail Display Printing: Production Guide for POP and In-Store Graphics

Retail Display Printing: Production Guide

Retail display printing encompasses a wide range of products including point-of-purchase displays, shelf graphics, window graphics, floor graphics, and dimensional signage. Each application has specific requirements for print quality, durability, and finishing.

POP Display Production

Point-of-purchase displays must attract attention and communicate brand messaging clearly. Print quality requirements are high because displays are viewed at close range. Color accuracy and resolution are critical.

POP displays are often produced on rigid substrates including foam board, corrugated, and acrylic. UV flatbed printing, available through Amcad & Graphics with Mimaki JFX systems, enables direct printing on these substrates without mounting a printed graphic.

Window Graphics

Window graphics require specific materials depending on whether they are viewed from inside or outside. Perforated vinyl allows visibility through the graphic from inside while displaying a full image from outside.

Floor Graphics

Floor graphics require slip-resistant overlaminates and adhesives compatible with the floor surface. Production involves printing, lamination, and cutting to shape.

Dimensional Signage

Dimensional letters and logos require cutting from rigid materials. Flatbed cutters from CUTWORX USA handle the cutting step with precision.
